The Club’s premier annual golf event, the CMI Mount Lawley Classic was played on the weekend over 36 holes in superb conditions.

Mount Lawley member John Jary, playing off a handicap of 13 was victorious with a winning net score of 139, set up with a fantastic nett 66 on day one followed by a steady nett 73 yesterday. 

Tony Connolly was runner up with a nett score of 141, while Colin Burwood and Benjamin O’Callaghan were third with two round totals of 142 each.

Michael Lucas from Harvey Golf Club was awarded the best Gross with a two round gross score of 147 (rounds of 73 and 74), while Keenan Baatjes was runner up with a two round gross total of 149 after shooting rounds of 75 and 74.

The Club received many complimentary remarks from both members and visitors regarding the conduct of the event and condition of the course, and this together with the weather made for a most enjoyable two days.  Well done to the ground staff and hospitality staff for all their efforts to help make the event a success.
