Congratulations to all the golfers who qualified for the match play section of the Club Championships held last weekend and best of luck to the Ladies whose qualifying rounds commence next week.
After speaking with the volunteer spotters and starters on the first and tenth it is amazing how many golfers missed the fairway to the right. In some cases the shot to the right was exacerbated by the golfer rushing to the tee and not warming up adequately. I advise that before any round of golf that you arrive at least 45 minutes prior – stretch, hit a warm up bucket of balls and then have a practice putt getting used to the speed of the greens.
