With the greens returning to excellent condition following the recent course renovations it is now even more important to ensure that your putting is in good order.
To putt well your putting stroke needs to be able to consistently send your ball on the intended line with the intended power – these are the technical aspects of putting. An often overlooked part of putting well however is your ability to be able to read the greens. Members have the opportunity to attend an Aimpoint Clinic on Saturday 24th October on the Driving Range. Aimpoint is an Emmy award winning green reading system that is being used by some of the world’s leading players, it is easy to learn and can be applied on the course straight away.
This is the second time Golf Professional Steve Giuliano has visited the Club to present Aimpoint Express to Mount Lawley members. No other golf club in Western Australia have had these clinics presented to their members as yet and it is a simple and effective way to learn how to read the greens. The previous session held at Mount Lawley was very well received by the members who attended. Steve and and Duncan Kegg are hosting two clinics this Saturday, each runs for two hours. There is a 9am session and another session again at 1pm so members playing on Saturday can attend a clinic either before or after your round of golf.
