The Golf Shop Ambrose was played on Sunday morning over 18 holes of uncharacteristically windy and wet weather.
Winning this year’s Ambrose were the group of Lee Cassidy, Paul Muggeridge, Bruce Van Rooyen and Mark Sinclair with a score of net 54.625. The group cited a strong team performance with Lee’s good putting and the Paul, Bruce & Mark’s long drives contributing to their winning score. Runners up, with a score of 56 was Brian Orr, Tony Martin, Charles Allia & Nick Rahmitulla.
Third place went to last year’s winners, Steve Plummer, Jayson Watson, John Bartle & Phil Beake.
We would like to acknowledge the hospitality & grounds staff for their assistance on the day and of course Lauren for her tea & coffee skills, photography skills and for not letting the wet weather dampen her style! Thank you to Head Golf Professional Duncan Kegg for showcasing his new Aimpoint skills on the day as well as team members Ric, Andrew and Richard for their contributions on the novelty holes. Special mention also goes out to Lucy who has been working tirelessly in ensuring the running of the day was most enjoyable and keeping those boys in check!
