Even an earthquake of 5.8 magnitude could not stop Mount Lawley’s Hannah Green from making a charge up the leaderboard on the final day of the Handa New Zealand Women’s Open. Starting the day tied in 29th position, Hannah played very steady golf to record a -3 final round which left her -4 for the tournament. Lydia Ko, with whom Hannah played the first two rounds, won the tournament finishing on -10. Hannah returns to Australia tomorrow, flying into Adelaide where she will play in the Handa Australian Women’s Open. Club member Julie Lepp will be on refereeing duties at the Open while Shonna Gobby and Sue Thomson are also travelling to Adelaide to cheer on Hannah and the other WA girls who will be competing at the Grange Golf Club.
