With Club Championship season upon us now is a great time to think about ways to improve your score.
No 1 – Book a lesson
No 2 – Come down to the practice range and hit a few buckets of balls
No 3 – Head to the practice green and practice your short game
If you can’t do any of the above, one thing to keep in mind once on course that can help to save your score are “take your medicine” – everyone will hit poor shots the key is making sure when you do hit a bad one you don’t make it worse by following it with another bad shot. In a stroke play event make sure you get back into play, chip out where possible, hit to the middle of the green, lay up short of the bunkers etc. All these things can help turn a potential triple or quadruple bogey into only a bogey and keep your round going.
Good luck to all entrants this weekend!
