With both the PGA Tour and the European Tour both kicking off new seasons, recently highlighted by the tremendous effort of Jason Day in Hawaii it is a great opportunity to watch some of your favourite players and learn from how they approach playing different holes. (eg not always taking driver off the tee, laying up to certain distances on par 5’s etc.) Leading up to the first Major – the US Masters, some of the early season tournaments can be a good indicator of who has worked hard at their game over summer. My tips are Australians Adam Scott and Jason Day and it could also be the year Lee Westwood finally gets the major monkey off his back.
