Smash factor is a measurement of how well made your contact is with the golf ball. Ideally with your driver you would have a smash factor of close to 1.50. This represents your ball speed from impact divided by your clubhead speed at impact giving you a smash factor of 1.50. As your club’s loft increases, your smash factor will naturally decrease as loft is a form of mishit. Please see below flowchart as to what your “Smash Factor”!
