About the Course
Overview
Mount Lawley Golf Club is ideally located just 10 minutes (7 kilometres) from the centre of Perth city and is one of Western Australia’s premier sporting clubs, boasting a championship golf course and outstanding member facilities. Since its formation in 1928, the Club and has hosted numerous State and National Amateur golf events.
The course measures 6,234 metres (Par 72) with a USGA Scratch Rating of 73 and is consistently ranked in Australia’s top 100 courses, with a current ranking of 60 according to Golf Australia. The course is set on 79 hecatres (173 acres) and is set in original and natural bushland, with the skyline of Perth city seen from a number of fairways. The course is easy to walk and offers a fair challenge for golfers of all abilities.
The practice facilities are first class and offer members and visitors a variety of areas on which to hone their skills. A number of Golf Professionals are on hand to provide tuition, including Head Teaching Professional Neil Simpson who has helped Nick O’Hern become a world class golfer. Members enjoy the comfort of a modern clubhouse, with sweeping views over the opening and finishing holes and glimpses of the city skyscrapers beyond.
